Adam Ant and the Good, The Mad & The Lovely Posse will be coming to our shores this year supported by Georgie Girl and Her Poussez Posse!Adam and the Ants scored 10 Top ten UK hits in the 80’s including three number one’s with their hits Ant Music, Goodie Two Shoes, Prince Charming and Stand And Deliver which saw Adam Ant win the Ivor Novella award, after it spent five weeks at number one. For almost two years, Adam and the Ants dominated the charts with their singles and albums earning them a Brit award for their 2nd album, Kings of the Wild Frontier, plus a Grammy nomination.

Adam Ant then took some time out to pursue an acting career after a stint at MTV as their very first VJ in 1983.  He appeared in many films and US TV shows before he decided to split his time between acting and music and started recording again.

It would be twelve years before Adam would play live again, with an acoustic show in London, where Adam read from his recently released biography Stand & Deliver.  Adam was presented with the “Q Icon” in 2008 for the UK annual Q awards bestowed by the respected British music magazine of the same name, placing him alongside fellow recipients Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney and Marianne Faithfull.

This rekindled recognition resulted in a series of low key, spontaneous “guerrilla gigs” around London in early 2010 which enabled Adam to build up a new band and sell out several shows. With the band line up settled, Adam Ant and the Good, The Mad & The Lovely Posse embarked on a successful and extensive tour playing to over 150,000 people in the UK, which ended with them supporting Rod Stewart at Hyde Park.
Adam Ant will release his new album Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar In Marrying The Gunners Daughter in June this year, on Adam’s record label, Blueblack Hussar Records.

Georgie Girl and Her Poussez Posse, who also hail from the UK are signed to Adam’s label and will cross the big seas to support Adam Ant at all Australian Shows.  Georgie Girl bumped into Adam Ant outside a cafe in London. From there the two got together and wrote some songs before they put together a ‘posse’ of killer ladies to play the songs live.  Be prepared to be surprised…..

The journey now continues with a tour confirmed for Australia in March, and a tour in the US to follow in September. Adam Ant will also be in Australia in mid February for a promotional tour in Sydney and Melbourne.
